This was my second ever attempt at a poured acrylic swipe technique, a cute little 5x5" neon painting! I was a little more liberal this time with the underpaint, overlapping more and attempting swirls before I pulled the black over. I still can't get over the sheer amount of cells that this technique creates. And watching them appear out of nowhere before your eyes is really cool! I still have lots to learn but that's the joy of this medium and allowing myself the time to play around, try new things.
This one is called "Melon". For this piece I used acrylic paint, my own pouring medium glue mix, 16% silicone, water, and my trusty torch on a 5x5" canvas.
