Sometimes you get a pour that is just.....meh....lol and I felt like this one was kind of like that. UNTIL! I added in the drizzle lines at the end. It made it into a completely different piece. The picture at the end doesn't even do it justice to what it looks like in person even - I know....that sounds braggy....but I REALLy like how it turned out! I was happy with the cells, I was happy with the consistency, but the colours on their own fell pretty flat to me. None of the yellow I had added really came through. So the drizzle was a last ditch effort at salvaging this one. And honestly.....not every pour is perfect. Not every pour is going to be how you think it should (spoiler alert: most of them arent! lol). And that's totally ok. One of my goals on my channel, with my pours especially, was to document my own learning curve so you can see, from the beggining, where I started and the progress I've made as well as the different techniques I've tried. I am not perfect. My work is an extension of me so by default, it's not perfect either! lol! But that's part of what makes it interesting too! :)
This one is called "River Vines". For this piece I used house acrylic paint, my own pouring medium glue mix, 100% silicone, water, and my trusty torch on a 12x12" canvas.
